Invite

Invite the bot to your Discord server. Commands need it in that server.

Sign in and open the guild

Sign in with an account that can update this guild.

Create your own guild first. Open Create New Guild.

Joining someone else's guild does not replace this. Without your own guild, the Ledger Hub still asks you to create one.

From the Ledger Hub, press “Manage bot” for this guild.

Without a selected guild, the page does not know which guild to invite.

Invite the bot

When no server is connected, press “Invite bot”. The page opens Discord and asks you to choose a server and accept the permissions.

Discord has no separate permission for inviting a bot. “Create Invite” on the permission list creates an invite link. It does not add the bot to the server.

The server owner can invite the bot, and so can a member whose role includes “Manage Server”. If the authorize screen does not list that server, this Discord account does not have that permission.

If that server requires admins to turn on two-factor authentication, turn it on for this account first.

An account that cannot update the guild does not see “Invite bot”.

Confirm it is in the server

Return to the bot page. The status is “In this server”, and the permissions Discord approved are listed.

Change permissions in Discord. This page only shows them.

On this page, set “Notification channel”. The bot posts announcements, including new features, to that channel. Choose a channel you will see, so you do not miss them.
