create-raid

/create-raid posts one raid message into the channel where you run it. You can fill it in Discord, or on the web page. Submit again later to update that same message.

Type the command

In the channel where the raid should appear, type /create-raid and send it.

After this The command has been sent from this channel.

Or pick it from Apps

You do not have to type it. Press “Apps” under the message box, press “Raid Tome”, then press “create-raid”.

After this The same command has been sent, without typing it.

Fill it in Discord

After the command is sent, you can stay in Discord, fill in the raid, and send it. This path does not open a browser, and it does not authorize a Discord account.

Discord asks for the same fields as the web form. Those fields do not have their own pictures.

After this The raid message was sent from Discord and is in this channel.

Or open the web page as the same Discord account

To use the web page, confirm this browser is the Discord account that sent the command. If it is not, press “Continue with Raid Tome” and authorize.

The form shows the guild name, and it says the listing will be posted in this channel.

If the link has expired, or this is the wrong Discord account, go back to Discord and send the command again.

After this The web form is open for this guild and this channel. The next fields are this form.

Required

“Title”, “Start”, “Roster limit”, and “Waitlist limit” are required.

A title is 1 to 200 characters. “Roster limit” is a whole number from 1 to 999. “Waitlist limit” is a whole number from 0 to 999. 0 means no waitlist.

Optional

These can be left blank: “Expected duration”, “Message”, “Banner”, “Footer banner”, “Game”, “Soft cap”, “Roles”, “Sign up for someone else”, “Send a reminder”, and “Post language”.

“Message” can be at most 1900 characters. It can include {title}, {starts_at}, {roster}, {waitlist}, and {soft_cap}.

“Banner” sits above the message, and “Footer banner” sits below it. Choose the width and height yourself. The layout does not resize them.

“Roles” can be a duty or a task, such as squad leader, or a class. A class tag leaves the headcount unchanged, so you still choose that role. Each “Role name” is 1 to 80 characters, and each “Headcount” is a whole number from 1 to 999. Names cannot repeat. The headcounts together cannot be larger than the roster limit. Use at most 40 roles.

“Sign up for someone else” is off by default. Turn it on to sign up a “Temporary character”, or another “Server member” of this Discord server.

“Expected duration” is “1 hour” or “2 hours”.

“Game” is a game this guild has turned on, or “No game”.

“Soft cap” is a whole number from 1 to 999 that is not larger than the roster limit.

“Send a reminder” sends it from 0 to 10080 minutes before the start, and 0 sends the reminder at the start time.

“Post language” is the language of the Discord message, and the language of this page stays in the address.

Post to Discord

On the web page, press “Post to Discord”. The message appears in that channel. Sending the form again updates that same message. The button then says “Update the Discord message”.

Filling the raid in Discord also posts into the same channel.

You can register a Raid Tome account later. That does not block this post.

If this guild has used its raid listings for the UTC week, the form keeps what you entered and shows that quota message.

After this This channel has the raid message.

Sign up on the message

Members sign up on this message. They join the roster until the roster limit. When a waitlist is on, a full roster sends the next person to the waitlist. When roles are on, the signup includes the chosen role.

When “Sign up for someone else” is on, it can be a temporary character, or another member of this server.

When this game has labels, the person signing up can choose a class icon or another label. When it has none, add and manage them in “Guild Management”. This guide does not cover that page yet.

After this People who sign up appear on the roster, the waitlist, or the role they chose.
